Perth’s Tiny Tours

Cultural and Theme Tours

Perth’s Tiny Tours offer great local experiences and flexibility for small private groups of seven or fewer so no big groups of strangers!

Perfect for small private groups, couples, small families, visiting professionals who are “time poor” and individuals who want to see a lot of things at a great price.

It’s a “Tiny Tour” because they only take you and your group – no one else, making tours easily customisable and personal. Specialists in locations that buses cannot access as well as the major sights you’ve heard about and want to see.

Peter, your accredited guide is a “born and bred” Perth local with years of people experience, many stories and a rich familiarity with many cultures, he’s also a pretty good photographer!

Renting a car or taking a bus tour might be a little cheaper but you won’t get a flexible day, eat where you like, take your time or have your guide.

You’re also travelling with your tribe so there are no nasty surprises or transmissions that are out of your control.

Flexibility is one of the core features of Perth’s Tiny Tours and no two tours are ever the same.

If you want Kangaroos – you can get up very close only five minutes from the city.

With over 20 locations throughout the day, this tour is packed full of drive-bys, stopping at the places you like and the popular spots that always tick the boxes.

You can stop at any of the many amazing restaurants for lunch along the way depending on where you are at the time and what you feel like eating. There are lots of options depending on your tastebuds! Just ask Peter your guide. You can even grab something for the road if you want to just keep moving. Lunch is not included in the tour price.

The Swan Valley is one of the only wine regions within 30 minutes of a major capital city anywhere in the world. It is also one of the oldest wine-growing regions in Australia dating back to the 1830s.

A vast range of wines are grown in the valley. There is a strong tradition of fortified winemaking and a long record of producing whites that are simple, fresh and crisp. The reds grown in the valley are known for their remarkable softness and drinkability at an early age.

Over 40 world-class wineries, boutique breweries, cideries and distilleries populate the region and are complemented by cheese, honey, nougat, chocolate factories, fine dining restaurants and art cafes.

There is a uniquely rustic Australian flavour to this special and popular region and several incredibly talented artists and craftsmen live there. Blacksmiths and metalworkers, stonemasons and fabric designers to name a few. To visit the region for the wine and food alone is a missed opportunity.

The Perth Hills Explorer Tour can be taken any time of year but is especially good fun in winter when bush walks are a warming activity and the creeks and waterfalls are running with fresh rains.

It’s also just a great place to sample some of the best local wines or just try some amazing food. July to October is the spring wildflower season.

The Darling Mountain Range (locally called the Perth Hills) is a region approximately 30 minutes from Perth City and has many attractions that can easily fill a day of activities. How many things you want to do is up to you. More details are available on the website or simply message Peter the guide and owner of Perth’s Tiny Tours.

The Bickley Valley is particularly beautiful in the winter and spring (May to October) when the valleys and orchards are lush and green and the many varieties of golden wattle trees are in bloom.

The Fully Local Tour is specifically designed for locals or regional people who know Perth a little but want to see parts of the city they never knew existed.

This is a magic portal into Perth’s backyard and the fun begins when you get in the car. A huge physical list of sites guarantees you will see places you’ve never seen or have possibly only heard about! It’s not just sights and locations either. Your local food and beverage choices are huge!

Take the awesome local wineries for example. Who knows the tiny winery in the Swan Valley, operated (practically solo) by one of the oldest and most respected winemakers in Western Australia that only produces two sensational sparklings every year? Where can you find the only Prosecco grower in Western Australia, less than 25 minutes from the city and where can you design and print your photo label on your clean-skin bottle of wine (cool gift idea)?

Get a group together and book a fantastic local day tour for a fresh new look like you’ve never seen Perth before.

Western Australia’s amazing diversity of wildflowers attracts nature lovers from all over the world and the spring displays are breathtakingly beautiful. Optimal time for wildflowers is between July to October.

A warning – wildflower hunting is highly addictive! When you find something beautiful, you’ll just want to keep searching for more and it’s often even more impressive!

There are two tours available. A “Metropolitan” tour or a “Country Road trip” – both are quite different day tours.

Unfortunately, time limits do not allow both options on the same day but you will see many stunning displays of flowers on both tours.

Every season offers colours but the spring blooms are extraordinary and certainly will give you an abundance of photo opportunities.

Tours are customised to your needs so you will get to see what you want depending on the time of the year.

Peter your knowledgeable local guide has photographed wildflowers for most of his working life and knows where to find the flowers from his local networks and personal experience.

These tours are an amazing window into Western Australia’s incredibly unique floral biodiversity and should not be missed if you are in Perth at this time of year.

The Pinnacles (Nambung) Desert is a little over two hours drive north of the Perth central business district. It is a unique and baffling landscape which offers an amazing backdrop for photography of friends and family or simply an incredible desert experience.

The Desert Discovery Centre located in the park also offers information about the curious origins of the unique landscape and the local flora and fauna. There is also a well-stocked and very busy souvenir shop.

Several optional stops either on the way to the desert or on the return journey add to the day tour. Their website offers more detail depending on your interests.

The Pinnacles Desert component of the tour takes you through the landscape itself and allows you to immerse yourself in the environment. Bus tours cannot offer this opportunity.

Parking at sidings along the sandy roads in the park allows you to see all the best formations quickly and comfortably.

Peter is your knowledgeable local guide, and the tour includes entry to the park, seasonal fruits, chilled water and snacks in the price. Lunch can be taken at several excellent options along the way.

The Wheatbelt is a massive agricultural region extending from Geraldton (about 415 kilometres north of Perth) to Esperance (around 700 kilometres south of Perth).

This tour includes heritage towns and many natural attractions located in the central Wheatbelt Region directly east of Perth.

There are a lot of changes in landscape simply because you will cross a lot of country through the day. It’s a visual feast for photographers and random stops are what it’s all about!.

The towns you will pass through are among the oldest in Western Australia and contain some beautifully maintained examples of Federation, Victorian and Art Deco heritage buildings.

Wave Rock is the furthest point of the tour from Perth and for many, it is the highlight of the day. An amazing natural rock formation with beautiful ochre and charcoal colouring rising approximately 15 metres and over 110 metres long.

The tour can be taken at any time of the year but the summer heat can make it uncomfortable on the face of Wave Rock. Between July to November is ideal temperature-wise.

This is a massive fun-filled day tour. You will cover a lot of country and see a huge diversity of landscapes. Flexibility is a major component of these tours so decision-making on the road can determine how the day unfolds.

Margaret River’s wine-growing region is internationally celebrated and it is also one of the most environmentally diverse regions in the world. The region is not just popular for the wines.

You pass through specially selected small country towns and locations chosen for the unique characteristics that make them stand out from the ordinary. There are white soft sandy beaches, majestic caves and breathtaking forest drives.

The Margaret River Region has much more to offer than the main street of the township. There are many wineries, breweries, restaurants and stunningly beautiful natural attractions to see and you will be guided to places that suit your taste.

If you have a list of things you’d like to see, Peter your local guide can make it happen for you. Remember – Perth’s Tiny Tours means it’s only your group and no wasting time waiting around for others. You will see much more than a coach tour could ever cover.
