Bunbury Museum and Heritage Centre

Galleries, Museums and Collections

Housed in the heritage-listed Paisley Centre in downtown Bunbury, the museum, with its lofty ceilings and natural light takes full advantage of its atmospheric surroundings.

Originally one of the first schools in the town, it still serves the primary function of education as a contemporary museum. Interactive displays showcase the history of Bunbury. All ages can enjoy learning about the region from pre-colonial times to today.

Visiting exhibitions take their place alongside an ever-changing display of the City of Bunbury’s extensive collection of historic documents, photography, artefacts and objects.

Explore the colourful maritime history of the Port City, walk into a time when timber and railways were the lifeblood of the southwest region, hear Indigenous Australians tell their own stories, and relive the swinging sixties.

Suitable for all ages, the museum provides a stimulating and thought-provoking space for both visitors and locals alike.
