Mount Adelaide

Historical Sites and Heritage Locations

Mount Adelaide is the site of the National Anzac Centre and the Princess Royal Fortress Military Museum. The Princess Royal Fortress is a treasure trove of military history, with a focus on the 10th Lighthorse Regiment. The National Anzac Centre will be a commemorative and beautiful place where visitors can reflect on the history and sacrifices of World War I. Mount Adelaide is overlooked by Mount Clarence, home to the Desert Mounted Corps Memorial and the Padre White Lookout.

Both Mount Adelaide and Mount Clarence overlook the Ataturk Channel and offer a breathtaking view of King George Sound, where the original Convoy ships were anchored before departing Albany and eventually arriving in Gallipoli.
