Ranger Red’s Zoo & Conservation Park
Things To Do Pinjarra, Murray, Western Australia
Ranger Red’s Zoo & Conservation park, formally Peel Zoo, is a boutique, hands-on zoo, in a lush setting on the banks of the Murray River. What makes Peel Zoo really unique is the “hands-on experience” you get . Hand feed the animals, hold a snake, pat a fox, tickle a ferret.
There are over 100 species of birds and animals that will capture your imagination – koalas, wombats, bettongs, exotic birds, reptiles, bengal cats, spotted quolls, possums, owls and more. The huge walk-through aviary and Tasmanian Devils are star attractions.
Ranger Red’s Zoo & Conservation Park is a family friendly wildlife park. Facilities include plenty of shaded areas to sit and enjoy your morning tea, lunch, or afternoon snack – bring your own or a range of pies, sausage rolls, ice creams and drinks are available to purchase. The Zoo is so tranquil, it’s actually therapeutic.
They offer school groups overnight camps and tours including a Junior Zookeeper experience – see website for more information and pricing.
Ranger Red’s Zoo & Conservation Park is only 20 minutes from Mandurah and 1 hour from Perth. It’s just off Pinjarra Road, behind the Pinjarra Golf Club.
