Yanchep National Park – Bushwalking Trails

Historical Sites and Heritage Locations

Yanchep National Park offers you a choice of nine interesting walk trails ranging in length from 500 metres to 51.8 kilometres. Along the way, you will witness spectacular scenery and panoramic views from the sea to the scarp.

Choose a walking trail to suit your personal level of fitness and timeframe. Appreciate the diverse range of trees including Banksia, Tuart, Marri, Stunted Jarrah, Sheoak and Paperbark. During Spring an array of stunning wildflowers brighten the trails. Animals and birdwatchers can delight in the abundant wildlife residing in Yanchep National Park.

Gain an insight into Aboriginal culture following the Yaberoo Budjara Trail which is based on Yellagonga, (a significant local Nyoongar elder) and their movements in the area.

Longer walking trails such as the 3.5-day Coastal Plain walk provide facilities including walkers’ huts, picnic tables and bush toilets.

Walkers are asked to collect a map and register at McNess House Visitor Centre before heading off to explore a trail.

Yanchep National Park is just 45 minutes north of Perth.

Tourists are advised to check for alerts and road/park closures before commencing their travel on www.emergency.wa.gov.au and https://alerts.dbca.wa.gov.au
