Augusta Harbour lands you at rugged Cape Leeuwin, where the waters of the Indian and Southern oceans collide and some of the best whale watching, forest bathing, cave exploring and wine tasting experiences on Earth await.

It’s a 5 minute shuttle bus or taxi ride from the harbour to Augusta town centre, and just over 15 minutes to the region’s caves. You’re also within easy reach of three incredible wine regions – sample the premium wines of Margaret River (30 mins), forage for cool climate wines and black truffles in the Southern Forest (1 hour), or follow the scenic Blackwood Valley Wine Trail (90 minutes).

In June and August, look to the waters of Flinders Bay and Cape Leeuwin for migrating humpback and southern right whales. They’re often spotted close to the shore, or you can join a whale watching tour for the most memorable close encounter with these majestic creatures.

Step into Jewel Cave, one of the biggest show caves in Australia, and gaze in awe at the world’s longest publicly accessible straw stalactite. Discover a whole new level of tranquility walking among the towering karri trees of Boranup Forest, and meet the friendly stingrays at nearby Hamelin Bay.
