Cruise Terminals and Airports

Touch down at Esperance airport and you’re just an hour’s drive from relaxing with the kangaroos on Australia’s whitest beach, Lucky Bay in Cape Le Grand, and a short cruise away from the stunning seascape and wildlife-rich islands of the Recherche Archipelago.

It’s a one-and-a-half-hour flight from Perth to Esperance, and Rex airlines operate daily flights. Pick up your hire car or jump in a taxi to follow the Coolgardie-Esperance Highway south and you’ll be in Esperance in under 20 minutes.

Bus transfers to and from the airport are also available, and there are plenty of guided tour options, from four wheel drive beach safaris and coach tours, to Indigenous cultural tours, island cruises, and diving and fishing charters.

The squeaky-clean beaches and calm turquoise waters of Blue Haven Beach and Twilight Cove are just a short drive from town for a swimming and snorkelling trip. For the area’s surf hotspots, head to West Beach, Fourth Beach and Observatory Beach.

Choose from hotels, motels, apartments, bed and breakfasts, chalets and backpackers in Esperance, pitch your tent or stay in a safari hut on Woody Island, or bunk down under the stars beside the beach at Lucky Bay.
