The Picnic Boat Hire gives you options of two, three, four and six hours on the river. You may choose to go up the river which guides you through a residential area where the trees line the river and the birdlife is flourishing. Tranby House, Perth’s only standing settlement house from 1831 is still open to visitors. Open green spaces and hidden gems are for you to find and explore. You may even go as far up as into the Swan Valley, Perth’s vineyards, and sail past several local wineries and stop at Mandoon Estate.
Down River is more urban with developments, Optus Stadium, Claisebrook and the Perth CBD. This route is more busy with faster boats, ferries and city life.
