Nil Desperandum is a historic European heritage property that provides a uniquely beautiful and rustic experience for you (and your family and friends) in the Australian bush of Tidbinbilla.
Nestled in the mountains with stunning views, Nil Desperandum offers visitors a feeling of remoteness and connection to nature that is less than an hour’s drive from the centre of Canberra.
The property consists of two bedrooms, a kitchen with a wood stove, cold running water into the kitchen via a rainwater tank, a covered veranda, a long drop toilet, an outside gas BBQ, solar lighting, and a fire pit.
Nil Desperandum is the perfect base for bushwalking, bird watching, stargazing, reading, photography, or some peaceful relaxation.
From here you can take a stroll on the Eric and Elsie’s Loop which showcases important aspects of Nil Desperandum’s history such as the camellia garden, Ashbrook plantation and eucalyptus distillery.
The hire fee is per night for use of the property up to a maximum of six people.
Vehicle access to the property is by 4WD or AWD vehicles only.

The price is per night for the entire cottage. Can sleep up to six guests in two bedrooms. One room has a double bed, the second room has two bunk beds with four king-single mattresses. Camping is not permitted at the property or in Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve.
