Located in the historic suburb of Kingston, take a guided tour with the friendly and knowledgeable volunteers, and be whisked away to the golden age of rail travel.
The collection includes locomotives, carriages, and artifacts, from across more than 100 years! Ride in style aboard a luxury Pullman carriage, make yourself comfy in a Southern Aurora sleeping car, or blow the horn from the driver’s seat of a vintage rail car!
The museum is home to historic locomotive 1210, one of the oldest surviving steam engines in Australia, and the very first train to arrive in Canberra all the way back in 1914.
Special opening hours: Canberra Railway Museum is open daily from December 26 to January 3!
