Museum of Australian Democracy

Galleries, Museums and Collections

Visitors can now enjoy Behind the Lines: The year’s best political cartoons 2019 and Truth, Power and a Free Press exhibitions, with these offerings being the first in a series of exciting new and renewed spaces to open to the public in Old Parliament House over the next twelve months.

Due to current restrictions, things will be a little different than usual, but we still have our signature MoAD welcome ready for you. The health and safety of our visitors and staff is important to us and we encourage you to help us protect our community. Please book your free Exhibition Pass before you arrive to avoid a wait and if you feel unwell, please postpone your visit. We have been working hard to implement increased hygiene protocols and you can learn more about those here.

If you cannot come to us just yet, we are continuing to offer rich digital content online including our Behind the Lines exhibition, Digital Excursion and On Air PlayUP.
