For fishing folk there are five rivers of the fishing trail in the Balranald region, they include the Lachlan, Murrumbidgee, Wakool, Edward and Murray Rivers. Balranald Shire Council assists local fishing clubs restock these rivers with native fish.

The five rivers are within 30 minutes of Balranald township.

Whether you chase Murray cod, yellow belly, perch or redfin, fishing the Five Rivers Fishing Trail will have you telling plenty of fishing tales. The Five Rivers Fishing Trail map provides an easy reference to all the best spots and can be picked up from the Balranald Visitor Information Centre at 83 Market Street, Balranald.
