Wajurda Point lookout

Natural Attractions

Just a short drive north of Tathra, Wajurda Point lookout highlights the natural beauty of Mimosa Rocks National Park. It’s a great stop on a car tour of the NSW far south coast, and also offers access to popular fishing spots.

Accessed via the gently undulating Wajurda Point walking track, the lookout is perched atop a headland, offering spectacular ocean views of unspoilt rugged coastline. From the lookout, catch the fresh ocean breeze as you gaze north across Nelson Beach to Baronda Headland.

It’s a great spot to look for dolphins and do some whale watching in the cooler months. You might also see kangaroos, wallabies or echidnas darting through the forest. It’s a popular spot with experienced surfers keen to test themselves on the waves.
