Narara Ecovillage

Landmarks and Buildings

The Narara Ecovillage (NEV) is a growing community of 100 plus people across all age ranges, which is located on the Central Coast near Gosford.

It is on the site of the historic NSW Agricultural Research Institute and borders the beautiful Strickland State Forest on three sides, walking through the peaceful ecovillage to the forest, you will discover a variety of environmental homes, and doubtless meet some friendly villagers at the coffee cart or on your walk.

Narara Ecovillage aims to nurture a resilient and inclusive intergenerational community that inspires collaboration, innovation and fun; to live with kindness, aware of interdependence with others and the natural world; and to learn and demonstrate ways to thrive within the earth’s ecological capacity, drawing on Indigenous wisdom and fostering regenerative environmental, social and economic practices.
