Kayaking/Canoeing from the iconic Hampden Bridge, through the pristine waterways of the Kangaroo River, Lake Yarrunga and then arriving at Bendeela is a marvellous opportunity to be introduced to small rapid paddling. The first 3 km consists of 3 Grade 1 rapids with beautiful reflective pools in between. The remaining 2km is a gentle stillwater paddle. There is ample opportunity to rest along the way and to discover the amazing array of wildlife – water dragons, azure kingfishers, lyrebirds, wombats, white breasted sea eagles, the list goes on and on. We then pick you up from Bendeela camping ground and drop you back to KVAC HQ where your vehicles will be waiting.
