Birdwatching at Jean Todkill Park in Crookwell

Parks and Gardens

Coots, cormorants, ducks, grebes, herons, moorhens and even pelicans. They are just some of the many fascinating birds you can observe if you check in to the bird hide at Jean Todkill Park in Crookwell. An initiative of the Crookwell Fauna and Flora Club, the bird hide allows you while away a happy hour or two overlooking a large dam that literally teems with waterfowl, year round.

If you need some refreshments after ticking off a swag of bird sightings, it’s just a short drive into Crookwell town centre where you will find a range of welcoming food venues. Whether you just want to grab a hot pie and coffee from the local bakery, sit down to traditional fish and chips, or go for a hearty pub lunch, Crookwell has it all. And if you feel the need for some retail therapy, you’ll be spoilt for choice: Crookwell has some great speciality shops!
