O’Donnell Park at Curlwaa

Natural Attractions

O’Donnell Park at Curlwaa is a picturesque park on the banks of the Murray River. It is a scenic place to enjoy a picnic, let the children try out the playground or simply relax from a long drive.

The park is named after Larry O’Donnell, a prominent Curlwaa man. Mr O’Donnell worked tirelessly for the good of the settlement and its industries, particularly those of dried fruits, water and salinity issues.

In the park also is a monument erected in 1959 to thank and recognise all those who worked tirelessly to save Curlwaa from inundation of the 1956 flood waters.
