Couzens Lookout

National Parks and Reserves

Couzen’s Lookout is positioned within the Mary River National Park – a wide expanse of land an hours drive from Darwin that provides visitors with opportunities for wildlife watching, fishing, four-wheel driving, bushwalking and photography.

Secluded camping by the Mary River and memorable sunsets can be found at Couzen’s, as its location within the national park offers an excellent vantage point for magnificent views of the surrounding plains.

Camping fees apply and sites must be booked online before you visit.

The Mary River is an excellent spot to view the Top End’s saltwater crocodiles in their natural habitat, so take caution when setting up camp. The nearby boat ramps and billabongs make it a great location to catch a fish to enjoy over the campfire at the end of the day.
