The Mary River Wetlands is a wildlife paradise, with paperbark forests and floodplains teaming with fish and saltwater crocodiles, as well as the occasional buffalo and birds as far as the eye can see. Helifishing Day Trips provide all of your fishing gear for the day and fly you out to the secret spots where there’s bigger fish in bigger quantities so there’s more chances of you hooking onto a winner! The Territory scenery along the way is second to none, even first timers will love this fishing experience.

The tour can take up to 6 people per helicopter, depending on weight, and includes drinking water, insect repellent, rods and reels, tackle & lures and light snacks and lunch.

They recommend you bring sunscreen and a hat, long-sleeved fishing shirt, suitable footwear that you don’t mind getting wet and a camera.

During this three night, two day extended trip you will be based on a remote cattle station on the Roper River, with abundant floodplains and fishing spots. They provide you with all the fishing gear you need to catch that big fish, or feel free to bring your own lucky rig!

You will stay in modern fully air-conditioned accommodation with en-suited bedroom. All meals and non-alcoholic drinks included (they can arrange alcohol for you at cost). Insect repellent, rods, reels, tackle & lures are provided.

They recommend you bring sunscreen & hat, long-sleeved fishing shirt, suitable footwear that you don’t mind getting wet and a camera.

All of the fishing equipment is supplied by Fishing & Outdoor World, your premium tackle shop in the NT.

Please note, this does not include transport to the accommodation location. You need to make your own way via a charter flight (they can assist arranging this). Alternatively, you can road trip out to this location which they can provide further details on at time of booking. They recommend you organise your own travel insurance.

This scenic helicopter flight takes you on a Kakadu Waterfall Tour from the air, giving you a unique view like no other! Explore the magnificent rainforests, wetlands and wildlife from above Australia’s biggest national park.

Leave in one of our helicopters from Darwin and cruise over the Mary River Wetlands towards Kakadu, taking in the sights of Gunlom Falls, Koolpin Gorge, Twin Falls, Jim Jim Falls and Deaf Adder Valley.

Land at Jabiru, stretch your legs and browse the gift shop before flying over the South Alligator River and with an impressive landing at the Bark Hut Inn, where you can treat yourself to lunch and refreshments (not included in the flight price).

This tour is best seen in the wet season. Waterfalls will vary in flow depending on the time of year. Contact the office for more information.

Depart from Darwin and fly in a helicopter to Berry Springs Tavern and turn heads with an impressive landing before treating yourself to lunch and drinks (not included in the flight cost).

After your relaxing lunch, jump back in the helicopter and cruise over Darwin River and Litchfield National Park, taking in all the sights of Magnetic Termite Mounds, Wangi Falls, Tolmer Falls, Sandy Creek Falls, Buley Rock hole, Florence Falls and more.

You also have the option to land at Litchfield National Park where you can make the most of your time in Darwin by booking a swim at a secluded waterfall. This is a truly spectacular experience and is subject to availability, so it is highly recommended to book well in advance!

From the waterfall head to Barramundi Adventures where you can catch an iconic ‘Barra’ and enjoy their great bar facilities, before heading home in style and comfort in a helicopter.
