Cooktown Campout

Cooktown Campout was created to accomodate couples, friends and families traveling by themselves or together in convoy. No more busy caravan parks where you are camping at opposite ends of the park or beside others wanting some piece and quiet. We offer large cleared self contained camping sites amongst natural bushland. With your own area to spread out you can feel comfortable knowing the kids can play safely without upsetting others. We are pet friendly. We ask that they are restrained while you stay, to protect our natural wildlife. Fires are permitted within the supplied fire pits in the campsites. Wood can be collected from around the campsites and bushland. We ask that you be self contained. The bushland is not a toilet and we would like you to respect the bush by using a portable toilet. Rubbish is to be taken with you and can be disposed of in Cooktown or in Laura. Milk crates are supplied to each site for cans and bottles to be recycled.
