Signalling your approach into Thallon, the giant GrainCorp Silo Art acts as a landmark for the town of Thallon , featuring the spectacular ‘Watering Hole’ mural painted in July 2017. To best enjoy them please use the designated viewing plateform and do not the the GrainCorp site. Thallon is surrounded by prime grain growing country and draws grain in from Weengallon, Nindigully, Mungindi, Dirranbandi and Thallon.

Thallon’s town parks is the perfect place to stop and break the drive with shady trees and facilities including a playground, picnic tables, free electric BBQ and toilets. The park also features a granite ‘Anzac Digger’ war memorial statue built by the Thallon Progress Association to commemorate the Centenary of Gallipoli. Make Thallon a stop on your travels to this special part of the Balonne Shire.
