Lady Musgrave Experience is a multi-award winning, advanced eco-certified Great Barrier Reef tour operator. Operating multiple tours daily from Bundaberg, their flagship experience is a full-day tour to Lady Musgrave Island Lagoon onboard their luxury 35-metre Catamaran ‘Reef Empress’.

Lady Musgrave Island is 45 acres surrounded by a 3,000-acre navigable reef lagoon brimming with marine life and colourful coral. Lady Musgrave Island is known for its resident turtles, manta rays, migrating humpback whales, fantastic visibility and no stingers all year round.

Enjoy a full day tour to Lady Musgrave Island to swim, snorkel, or dive in the lagoon, experience our glass bottom boat and take a guided island walk with turtles nesting and hatching on the island in season. Scuba dive across multiple sites on the Great Barrier Reef for certified divers. Half-day whale watching tours from July to October. There is wreck diving for advanced certified divers. Environmental and educational programs year-round, experience private charters for special events.

Lady Musgrave Island is surrounded by a 3,000-acre navigable reef lagoon brimming with marine life and colourful coral and known for its resident turtles and reef fish.

Guests can immerse themselves in this spectacular underwater world straight from Lady Musgrave HQ pontoon to go snorkeling or diving. Learn more about the reef on our educational glass bottom boat tour and informative guided island walk. The tour also includes morning and afternoon tea on transfers and a buffet lunch with only the freshest local produce available.

There’s no better place to get your scuba diving certification than in the world’s largest coral reef.
Have the world’s most recognised scuba certification to be licensed to dive with a buddy anywhere in the world up to 18 metre depth. The dive courses are suitable for just about anyone looking to learn to dive on the Great Barrier Reef.

Their dive instructors will teach you how to:
– Be a confident and skilled diver
– Assemble and use scuba gear
– Manage your buoyancy
– Respectfully approach marine life

After a day of learning to dive, retreat to Lady Musgrave HQ, the new ‘sleep on the reef’ pontoon accommodation nestled in the calm waters of Lady Musgrave Lagoon for a hearty home-cooked style dinner with unbeatable views and a good night’s sleep in the underwater observatory or glamping bed.

An adventure option for experienced certified open water divers with recent diving experience. Double outer reef dives on-board our dive vessel “Sea Cat”. Capable of taking 7 divers to surrounding islands & outer reefs. Or “Underworld” capable of taking 20 divers.

A divemaster guides every dive and this is your chance to experience some of the more remote and least accessible dive sites of the Southern Great Barrier Reef’s Bunker Group of Islands.

Checking in at 7:15 am at the Bundaberg Port Marina, Burnett Heads, cruise in style on our luxury catamaran “Reef Empress” and enjoy morning tea as we make our way to the pristine Lady Musgrave Reef lagoon. Once you arrive into the lagoon transfer to our dive vessel “Sea Cat” for departure to surrounding islands & outer reefs. Lunch included when you return to Reef Empress before departing back to Bundaberg. A light afternoon tea served and arriving back to the marina at 5:30pm.
