Lights on the Hill Trucking Memorial Ceremony

Historical Sites and Heritage Locations

Each year truckies families and friends from around the country assemble before the memorial, to honour the drivers whose names will be added to the wall that year and whose names already reside there. This service is open to anyone to attend. For those that cannot attend the service will be live streamed via the Lights on the Hill Facebook page.

The ceremony is very moving and highly emotional, the pipers playing Amazing Grace, doves being released, families and friends laying wreaths, paying their respects, heartfelt words, poems and songs being a part of the service. The new names and photos of each new member being read and seen. Then a grand finale of the haunting Airhorns of the trucks welcoming our loved ones to heaven.
Ceremony starts at 10 am on the 1st of October.
Many people stay the week-end as they have attended the Lights on the Hill Memorial Convoy the previous day.
