Reginald Murray Williams Australian Bush Learning Centre
Things To Do Eidsvold, North Burnett, Queensland
The Centre stands as a lasting tribute to genuine pioneer spirit and the character and courage of the people of the bush. The bush, rural Australia, the backbone of this proud land. A place of stark contrasts, unsurpassed beauty, warm welcomes, big hearts, indomitable spirit and tenacious character.
Legends like RM Williams, whose spirit lives on in Eidsvold’s history and graces a Centre dedicated to preserving and cultivating the area’s unique bush culture. In the spirit of RM Williams, the Centre is a place where all people can connect to the history, heritage and the land. A core feature is a display dedicated to telling the RM Williams story with particular reference to his time spent in the Eidsvold community, his life’s achievements, and philosophies.
The Son et Lumiere is a free Light and Sound Show held daily! This award-winning must-see outdoor Show shares stories of RM Williams, local drovers, storytellers and bush poets. The Show is projected onto the customised steel sculpture called the ‘Language of the Land’ – see the sculpture during the day for its intricate details and story – and watch it be transformed at night for the Light Show!
