Historical Sites and Heritage Locations

Jimbour House is a Heritage listed homestead with attached amphitheatre and gardens which was the centre of the first fully stocked property on the Darling Downs once European settlement commenced.

It’s grandeur and scale is unmatched in Queensland and there are few comparable properties in Australia. It is the headquarters of a longstanding leading agricultural business and a reminder of the great pastoral families who originally settled the Darling Downs.

In addition to the House, the original chapel and station store, as well as the water tower and Bell Family monument provide links to the past.
