The Backyard

The Backyard by Shangri-La is famous for casual waterside dining, but there’s more to us than that chilled Cairns vibe and great views. They’re the Far North on a plate, with their dishes celebrating the best local ingredients, and a menu featuring seafood and some of Australia’s barbecue favourites.

The Backyard are cocktails and charcuterie platters, shady Sunday sessions, buffet breakfasts in the morning sunshine, long lunches on the deck, sunset drinks in the garden, and dreamy dinners under the fairy lights.
