Spend three days four-wheel drive vehicle touring the outback opal mining town of Andamooka. Visit Woomera, once a launch site for experimental rockets and learn about Aboriginal art and culture.

Tour highlights include Wadlata Outback Centre’s Tunnel of Time in Port Augusta. Woomera first established in 1947 as a site for the launching of experimental rockets, see examples of rockets, aircraft and weapons associated with the testing range. The opal mining town of Andamooka and the shimmering white salt of Lake Torrens (time permitting). Roxby Downs with optional Olympic Dam Mine tour (at own expense). Travel to Marree via the Borefield Road, see the Dingo Fence and Oodnadatta Track en route. Visit the Farina Ruins, first surveyed in 1878 and continue to Lyndhurst via the ochre cliffs of spectacular reds and browns. Head to Iga Warta to spend some time learning about the Adnyamathanha culture and environment. Tonight after your evening meal, join your hosts at a traditional campfire listening to Adnyamathanha music and Yura Muda storytelling around a campfire, including traditionally cooked damper and urti jam supper. Experience the rich Aboriginal culture and heritage of the Flinders Ranges and discover the hidden meaning of an ancient land learning their culture and environment. After breakfast visit an ochre pit and learn about the colours, purpose and history of the ochre pits.
