The Outback Mail Run South Australia (SA) departs Coober Pedy twice a week and is tailor made for those wanting to discover more of the vast outback (without taking your vehicle off the bitumen!!).

The tour includes: pick up from your accommodation; 650+ kilometres of guided touring; lunch at either the William Creek Hotel or the Pink Roadhouse, Oodnadatta; and stops at points of interest and five remote homesteads along the way.

Starting from your accommodation in Coober Pedy you will travel in air-conditioned 4WD comfort on the roads first mapped out by the early explorers. You’ll discover the ‘Dog Fence’, hear tales of early pioneers, view disused railway bridges that span the creek beds that feed into Kathi Thanda Lake Eyre, learn about current pastoral practices and view the fauna and flora of this unique part of South Australia.

Departing every Saturday from Coober Pedy, travel through the stunning Painted Desert in Outback South Australia. This one day tour heads north on the Kempe Road, revealing the Moon Plains, pastoral country, and ultimately the breathtaking Arckaringa Hills. This mesmerising landscape, shaped over millions of years by ancient seas and erosion, boasts vibrant colours, majestic mesas, and unique geological formations.
