Night tours take visitors straight up to the Lantern Room to view the prismatic lens operating.

This Lighthouse tour takes you into the life of the lightkeeper and his family, as you follow their footsteps up the stairs and through the rooms they lived and worked in.
You will hear stories of achievement, hardship and perseverance as guides describe not only the building of the light station on the wild and isolated Margaret Brock Reef and the challenges of its operation, but also the incredible relocation of the Lighthouse tower to an onshore site – an Australian first.
Night Tours at designated times immerse you in the sounds and atmosphere of the lighthouse when the keeper was at work, tending the light and guarding the safety of all at sea.

Take a tour to the top of the Lighthouse at night to see the 151-year-old lens apparatus in action, shining its beautiful beams out over Kingston and beyond!
Guides escort you from the gate at ground level to the lantern room and give you an insight into the work of the lightkeeper.
You’ll step straight back into history as you hear the clockwork mechanism, watch the weights being wound up and admire the stunning light.
It’s a truly memorable experience and is offered just 11 times each year.
