Chapel Hill Winery

Wineries

Chapel Hill Winery in McLaren Vale was built on the site of the Seaview Chapel and schoolhouse. The 1865 ironstone Chapel still proudly stands today and is an integral feature of the tasting room. Planting of the vineyard commenced in 1972 and the first vintage was in 1975. Perched on the edge of the spectacular Onkaparinga Gorge, shallow rocky soils are a feature with sweeping views back over McLaren Vale and Gulf St Vincent.

The winery produces an impressive selection of wines ranging from lighter styles to more complex whites, rosé, red blends to full-bodied reds and fortifieds. At any given time, the winemakers hand-pick eight different wines to be available for tasting to suit the season and drinking style

We would love to host you in our iconic 150-year-old Chapel and tasting room to treat you to an experience of fine wine, heritage, and art.
