Shakespeare’s Wilderness Chalet

I offer a very private, secluded up-market off-grid wilderness accommodation within a temperate rainforest. I have trails through the rainforest and alongside the private creek giving people the opportunity to see the resident platypus; and the creek has been deemed one of the best creeks in the WORLD as a showcase and breeding habitat of the Giant Freshwater Crayfish! There are also a plethora of rare, vulnerable and endangered species guests might be lucky to see, such as the disease free Tasmanian devil, Wedge tailed eagle, Grey goshawks and also 13 other rare species of birds. I offer a bespoke homestay type of accommodation, built with Tasmanian timbers and old world charm; filled with antiques and wow factor. As well as gifting guests insight in how to live and run a home off-grid. It is special, it is not mass produced; It is unique, far enough from the maddening crowd, but close enough to other unique places in N/W Tasmania. It tells the story of past, present, future – of hope in a changing world. Guests can book the whole chalet, a room or hut. Plus guests can, if they want, get to experience me and my 6 generations of Tassie tales by the creek or fire side 🙂 I offer more than accommodation I offer learning, experience, an adventure !
