Tyenna Cottage is situated on the banks of the Tyenna River which is recognised as being amongst the best trout fishing streams in Australia. Humboldt Cottage is situated on the banks of the Humboldt Rivulet a short distance from Tyenna Cottage

Just 5.6 kilometres past the world-famous Russell Falls and Mt Field National Park and 15 minutes before Maydena and its world-class mountain bike park which is on the way to the Styx Valley home of the world’s tallest hardwood trees, Lake Pedder, Strathgordon and the Gordon River Dam. Just a one-hour drive from Hobart.

Tyenna River Cottage is a unique contemporary style boutique self contained accommodation with quirky rustic features incorporated into a new build. Offering one bedroom with queen bed and king single bunk beds. The cottage can sleep four guests in existing bedding, or five if using sofa bed. There are full modern kitchen facilities so you can cook your fresh catch of trout, as well as laundry facilities and bathroom with walk-in rain shower. The lounge area has a huge glass stacker door with views of Tyenna River and forest area beyond, has a large wide-screen television and a deck for guests to watch the river flow by relax and take in the tranquil ambience as the river rambles by.
