Rescherche Bay/Cockle Creek Campgrounds include a series of campgrounds in the Rescherche Bay Nature Recreation Area near Cockle Creek, managed by the Parks and Wildlife Service Tasmania.

Gillams Beach Campground is located approximately 16 km south of Ida Bay and Finns Beach Campground is a further 500 metres to the south. Continue south for another 1.2 km to reach the Catamaran Campground. Ramsgate Campground is located a further 2.9 km south of Catamaran commencing at the northern end of Sayers Beach and finishing at the cemetery. Cockle Creek Campround is located between the cemetery and bridge.

At these campgrounds you’ll find tall eucalypts to the waters’ edge and a number of sheltered campgrounds to choose from. Sites are not numbered so please try not to spread out too much and allow for others to utilise the campground as well.

Bookings are not required. Camping fees do not apply. A four week maximum stay applies. Total site number and capacity are estimates only.
