Freycinet Walk and Cycle Track
Things To Do Freycinet, Glamorgan/Spring Bay, Tasmania
Freycinet Walk and Cycle Track is a track in Freycinet National Park.
1 hour, 4km one way. Grade 2.
Winding four kilometres through coastal heath and woodland, this track links Ranger Creek with the start of the Wineglass Bay and Freycinet Peninsula walking tracks. This safe path offers views that you’ll miss if you travel by road.
An experience in its own right, the gentle gradient of this track proves a welcome opportunity for those not wanting a steep climb. You will be rewarded with unique views of the lower reaches of Mount Baudin, Mount Dove and Mount Amos – all part of the boulder-studded range known as The Hazards.
This low-speed, shared track is two way and cyclists must give way to walkers. The journey can be enjoyed from both directions. Please note this is the only walking track in the park where bikes are permitted. Please be aware there are road crossings.
Please refer to the Parks and Wildlife Service Tasmania website (parks.tas.gov.au) for up-to-date information about this walk, alerts, closures, safe walking guidelines, leave no trace principles and National Park entry fees where applicable.
