Waterton Hall Tour

Food and Wine Tours

Waterton Hall is a family-owned vineyard, with its own Award-winning wine label. Waterton Hall is a historic estate set in magnificent heritage gardens on the Tamar River at Rowella, 40 minutes from Launceston. The Barn and Hall were convict-built, and thought to be the last convict-built buildings in Northern Tasmania. With blue water views in every direction and lush vineyards surrounding the extensive ornamental Hall gardens, it’s a visual delight. The Boat House on the Tamar allows access right to the water’s edge. Every need is catered for from the moment guests enter the front gates. The landscape has been designed for the enjoyment of guests, and a setting for the fully restored buildings including the Barn, Schoolhouse and Boathouse.

The two-hour History, Walking and Tasting tours capture all that long Waterton Hall history, from pre-settlement up to the present, whilst guests relax and enjoy the estate-grown wines with matching Tasmanian canapes, in proximity to each of the historic buildings as they stroll the stunning property from Barn, to Hall, the Boathouse, to Schoolhouse.
