A fascinating tour that takes in approximately 10 actual Ballarat sites where the famous Mysteries Series was filmed. Pause at each site for photographs, reminisce, and relive each episode with Lucien, Jean, Mattie, Ces, Alice, Charlie, and the inevitable Patrick Tyneman.

While traveling from site to site you will hear commentary on the buildings and places you pass – by the end of the tour, you will know exactly where the Series was filmed as well as having picked up much of Ballarat’s rich history as a background to the Show.

These tours are conducted with the kind permission of the series Producers – December Media.

This tour is of two and a half hours’ duration.

If you are interested in History but time is of the essence, then this is the tour for you – available seven days per week as bookings permit.

Your guide will meet you in Central Ballarat prior to commencing the walk which concentrates on the central blocks in Ballarat’s CBD or any other area of particular interest such as the Botanic Gardens, POW Memorial, or the Old Ballarat Cemetery.

They will show you what the streetscapes looked like in earlier times and explain the differences you see today. The content of each tour can be adapted to suit your particular interest or origin.

This tour is normally an add-on to the 90-Minute Ballarat Town Tour and can include such places as the Ballarat Art Gallery, the Mechanics Institute, Craigs Hotel, and more.

Filled with stories of interest and intrigue we will tell you stories of bygone eras and you can share similar stories you may have of your ancestors.
