Thirteenth Beach

National Parks and Reserves

Thirteenth Beach coast can be found between Barwon Heads and Black Rock and is renowned for its rugged beauty and consistent and varied surf breaks.

The best access to the beach is via the Thirteenth Beach Barwon Heads Surf Lifesaving Club.

The beach is patrolled, but not all year round and is suited to surfers with a bit more experience under their leg rope.

There is ample free parking and public toilets located in the car park opposite the beach.

Check out the daily surf report for Thirteenth Beach on the Rasta Surf Co Instagram.

For dog lovers, there are year-round off-leash areas at Thirteenth Beach between 30W and 34W. Dogs may be off the leash but must be under effective supervised control at all times. Restrictions are necessary to protect dunes and wildlife and manage peak traffic periods. And always, clean up after your dog to keep the beach and the ocean clean for everyone to enjoy.

Follow the signs at each entry point for up-to-date information and head to barwoncoast.com.au for full details.

Thirteenth Beach is ranked as one of the Top 10 Victorian Surf Beaches, and you’ll know why when you visit this beautiful coastline.
