Corryong’s Elyne Mitchell Library is named after the prolific local author, most noted for her beloved ‘Silver Brumby’ series. Through Thowra the silver brumby, the Australian Alps have been explored and enjoyed by generations of children.

Within the library you can find informative panels, beautifully curated with photographs and excerpts of the author. Following the story of her life, forming a bond with the Upper Murray and the mountains with inspiration and details that influenced her life and work.
