Veronica Petelin Art Studio and Gallery

Veronica Petelin Art offers my personal studio and gallery of work and skills acquired over a lifetime of study and practice in Queensland and Victoria. i’ve been a studio ceramicist, a production potter, a clay figure sculptor. There are paintings in oils and acrylics, drawings in charcoal, graphite, ink,  many from life, examples of Chinese ink and watercolour brushwork. There’s a small press, so prints of acid on copper plate etchings appear on the walls too.

The studio is near the end of a dirt road, third sand dune from the beach, set in garden, generally a bit wild and built for comfort. Workshops, usually 2 day’s worth are offered in printmaking, drawing and painting.  Chinese brushwork and calligraphy classes can be whipped up at short notice.  Beginner’s drawing is a favourite.  Book ahead for these  when you know you’re coming to stay or organise a short class once you’re here,

As a small indulgence I have a Bright Shiny Things department that holds gorgeous surprises of brooches, necklaces and earrings reminiscent of early last century. Sparkling rhinestones, Swarovski crystal specialties, statement pieces for special occasions. There are modest collections of personal interest like Star Trek and Doctor Who memorabilia.
