Guests are accommodated in their fleet of ex-Overland and Southern Aurora sleeping carriages, hauled when possible by steam locomotive R707.

Every Slow Rail Journey includes overnight travel from Melbourne, a bespoke program of off-train experiences, six meals and daylight travel back to Melbourne.

Monthly departures focus on visiting the Mallee Silo Art Trail, Outback Victoria and the Murray region.

Their itineraries showcase the best of three fascinating corners of Victoria from world-class attractions to stunning artworks and gourmet cuisine. Tailored to complement the train’s itinerary are several Off-Train Experiences that showcase regional Victoria.
