Transport yourself back to the vibrant 80s with the Gippsland Vehicle Collection’s display of iconic vehicles and memorabilia. This dynamic decade pulsated with cultural shifts and technological leaps, from neon fashion to the dawn of personal computing. The automotive landscape boasted diversity, with sleek sports cars like the DeLorean DMC-12 and rugged SUVs like the Toyota Landcruiser. Approximately 35 vehicles from this era will be showcased, each with its own story to tell. Among them, the DeLorean DMC-12, immortalised as the time machine in “Back to the Future,” stands as a cultural icon.

Designed by automotive engineer John DeLorean, the rear-engine sports car featured distinctive gull-wing doors and a stainless-steel body, giving it a futuristic and eye-catching appearance.

The 1984 Porsche 911 Carrera, a vintage superstar, epitomises sleek design and powerful performance with its flat-six engine and rear-wheel drive. These are just glimpses of the treasures awaiting visitors at the Gippsland Vehicle Collection.
