Afloat is a floating restaurant and bar and seasonal entertainment precinct located in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD.

An ever-evolving hospitality venture, Afloat comes to life on the North Bank of the Yarra River (Birrarung) annually between September and June. With each season’s reopening, the venue undergoes a complete refit, unveiling a brand new theme annually.

Designed to emulate some of the world’s most exotic international destinations, each new theme is embraced through the venue’s interior and design, food and beverage offerings, and music and entertainment programming.

Returning for its eighth year, the 2023-24 season has brought a taste of Mexico to the Yarra.

Celebrating the country’s rich and vibrant culture, the venue has been reimagined to celebrate the vivacious spirit of Mexico City, Guadalajara and Oaxaca, as well as the tropical jungle-meets-beach paradise, Tulum.
