Established in 1857, during the heady days of the Victorian gold rush, The Oxford Scholar Hotel has for more than 160 years served Melbournians at the northern end of Swanston Street. In 2019 The Oxford was redeveloped, refurbished and re-imagined as a bar and eatery, situated in the heart of the RMIT City campus.

The Oxford offers a range of semi-private and private spaces that lend themselves to a host of different events. The function and bar areas are wonderfully versatile and can accommodate everything from birthday celebrations and wedding receptions right through to training sessions and seminars.

The pub works closely with a great gang of independent Aussie craft breweries to provide an eclectic tap listing that will keep you frothing for more while offering a bistro menu built upon locally sourced and fresh produce to provide innovative, seasonal dishes and pub classics.
