Munurru Guided Rock Art Tours

Cultural and Theme Tours

Wunambal Gaambera people are the Traditional Owners of Ngauwudu (Mitchell Plateau) and along with the local Uunguu Rangers, they manage the Munurru (King Edward River) Campground and surrounding country.

Munurru Campground is an ideal place to set up camp to explore the area, with spacious, serene campsites set in true Kimberley bush alongside the King Edward River.

It also offers visitors the unique opportunity to meet a Wunambal Gaambera Traditional Owner and to take a guided tour of the rock art sites close by. Visitors will receive a Welcome to Country smoking ceremony, learn about Wanjina-Gwion rock art, cultural stories, bush tucker and how life is for this remote community of Aboriginal people.

Tours can be booked at the Munurru Campground Ranger Base.
