A family-owned and operated certified organic and biodynamic farm and vineyard making Vermention and Zinfandel in various forms and growing amazing produce that can be found at the local markets.
Established in 2011 by Jamie and Lara McCall, this small family winery is organic and biodynamic with Australian Certified Organic and has been for over 15 years. The farm’s dry-grown, north-facing vineyards are managed by hand and the fruit is hand-picked by the McCalls each vintage, reflecting the estate’s family values and close attention to detail.
A Zinfandel and Zinfandel Rose are made, taking inspiration from David Hohnens original plantings at Cape Mentelle in the 1970s. Vermentino is made in still and sparkling styles. Wines can be purchased from stockists throughout Western Australia or at the farm by appointment only.
Burnside Organic Wines is also home to four rammed-earth bungalows featuring solid limestone walls, charming firepits and sweeping views of the Burnside Organic Farm. The Farm also grows meat and poultry, eggs, fruit and vegetables, honey and wine. The produce can often be found at the Margaret River Farmers Markets on Saturday mornings.
