A glorious place to sit, walk through and enjoy, the Werrpanakata Lagoon, is part of the overall ‘Living Lagoons Project’ being undertaken in Deniliquin in partnership with the general community, Murray LLS, Edward Wakool Angling Association, Edward River Council, the Rice Growers Association, the Deniliquin High School and Yarkuwa.

Meaning ‘Fishing Place’ this community outdoor educational facility helps showcase the native fish and their habitat, the importance of wetlands in the local Indigenous community.
