A day in the World Heritage listed and one of the largest National Parks in Australia, will offer you a diverse cultural and landscape experience. You will be amazed about the diverse wildlife, flora and fauna.

Australia 2001 Travel will transport you to Yellow Water Billabong where you will join a local guide for a 1.5 hour cruise to spot crocodiles and a range of colourful bird life, like jacanas, black neck storks, brolgas as well as white bellied sea eagles.

They will take you on an intimate, small walking tour around Aboriginal rock art at Burrungkuy (Nourlangie) and you will hear the stories of the local Bininj people. Their story lines have been passed down from generation to generation and you will have the time to stand back and take it all in. For the more adventurous group members, a fantastic look out to the Arnhem land escarpment awaits you.

They will enhance the culture experience by visiting the Warradjan Culture Centre, to learn more about bush food and the traditional way of living by the Aboriginal Bininj people.

The guide will pick you up, at any inner-city location in Darwin and Caravan Parks. You will travel with only 4-6 guests to Katherine, where the Tropics meet the Outback.

On the way south, you will travel along the Stuart Highway. The first stop will be at Adelaide River, a small township with a big history. The morning tea break will be next to the war cemetery, a peaceful place to remember the fallen.

The Top End has many beautiful waterholes and falls to offer, including Edith Falls, where you can swim or have a walk to enjoy an endless seaming view from a lookout area.

The township of Katherine is rich in history and after the delicious lunch, you will make our way to Nitmiluk National Park, home of the Aboriginal Jawoyn people. You will be driven to the cruise departure area, where you embark on an unforgettable journey through 2 Gorges. This cruise will include a short walk and a viewing area for Aboriginal Rock Art, as well as interpretive information on the way. Keep an eye out for the abundant birdlife and maybe spot some freshwater crocodiles basking in the sun.
