Join East Coast Angling aboard our 23ft Merino Center console as we venture north the historical Cooktown. The raw beauty and untouched fishery here is something that needs to be experienced in person. Cooktown lies approximately 300km north of Cairns and is the site where Captain Cook sailed in to repair his ship the Endeavour after running her aground just to the south.

After landing in Cooktown you’ll be driven to our luxury apartments in town where you’ll have the afternoon to settle in and get ready for the week ahead. The apartments are as central as you could possibly get in town where everything is within walking distance.

Enjoy running out each morning with the almost Jurassic like backdrop as you head out in search of those dream trophy fish. You’ll be targeting fish by casting Topwater lures predominately which allows you to enjoy the exciting and explosive nature of this style of fishing.

After returning each day enjoy one of the many places to dine out or simply enjoy a BBQ on the open balcony of their apartments in a relaxed social environment.

Experience the best of the Great Barrier Reef on one of our custom built 32ft Andros center consoles. Whether you would like to go sportfishing or just spend a day out on the reef snorkeling around a remote sand cay. Come and enjoy the ultimate experience for you, your family or your group.There are several locations they visit depending on the itinerary for the day and the weather.

On a family day out you can combine a mixture of snorkeling, fishing and cruising around some of the remote reefs less frequented by other tour operators. Giving you the ultimate private experience.

On your fishing trip – expect good numbers of GT’s, Spanish Mackerel, coral trout, and many other incredible species that call the reef home. They practice a catch and release sportfishing experience, but are happy for you to bring a couple of fish home to eat!

They depart each morning at 7am from the Crystalbrook Superyacht Marina in Port Douglas. This fast and extremely capable boat will have you out on the reef faster than any other operator which means more time on the water! You will enjoy a fun filled private day in a small, private group.
