Just 1 hour and 15 minutes scenic drive from Hobart, Maydena Mountain Cabins is ideally located on 3.5 acres of rural bliss in the small alpine village of Maydena, offering the perfect all-year-round base to explore some of the last untamed and rare natural wilderness on the planet. Maydena has a rich forestry heritage, but today it is better known as a tourism adventure hub, home to Maydena Bike Park and gateway to Tasmania’s World Heritage-listed wilderness region and national parks.
Explore the area’s unique natural attractions during the day, then in the evening relax in one of our beautiful self-contained traditional timber cabins or the Lodge apartments and soak up the breathtaking views looking out across the gardens, our alpacas grazing in their fields and the forest and mountains beyond, which are snow-capped in the winter. Get up and personal with our friendly alpacas, take memorable photos and simply breathe in nature and some of the cleanest air in the world.
