Artefacts is an art collective established in 1986 and run by local artists. It is located in Salamanca Arts Centre,77 Salamanca Place, Hobart, in the Alcoves.

There are currently five member artists whose artwork includes watercolour landscape paintings , sterling silver jewellery, felted woollen handbags, watercolour and mixed media artwork and coloured pencil artwork.

Other original artworks from local artists include ceramics, Tasmanian wood bowls and plates, jewellery boxes and cheese boards, fused glassware and metal items made from cutlery.

Salamanca Arts Centre is in the art heart of Hobart and visitors flock to the centre and the famous Saturday Salamanca Market whenever they find themselves in Tasmania.
